Originally called MyGreatFest, and changed to JailbreakCon, or WWJC, the worlds first and largest jailbreaking convention is returning for a third year, this time to be held in New York City in the US. WWJC had its first year in England, coming here to San Francisco last year.
This announcement came from the official Twitter account, @JailbreakCon, where all official communication about the event takes place. In addition, the event will be taking place on August 23rd and 24th. This Friday and Saturday is a one day extension from this years single day event. After such a long day, JailbreakCon’s organizers were met with many suggestions of splitting the event into two days, and it looks as though they’ve taken the advice.
At JailbreakCon, there are always many interesting speakers, each one from a different part of the jailbreak community, whether it’s saurik, who developed Cyida, pod2g, a famous jailbreaker, or Ryan Petrich, who is responsible for many famous jailbreak tweaks. No sort of schedule for the event has been announced, since it is nearly a year away, but when there is more info we will be sure to let you know.
The JailbreakNation team will be covering the whole event in August, so when the date does roll around be sure to check back for our comprehensive coverage.
