iPhone 5S Rumored To Launch June/July
jassimJanuary 15, 2013
Apple’s future has been mentioned many times in the last few days due to their declining stock price now under $500, more than $200 down in the last few months. With competition quickly catching up Apple has to continue strong with their work in 2013. Analyst Peter Misek claims to have seen signs of two prototypes in production, one which may be the rumored lower end model iPhone that has flooded the news recently. He claims that production on the new phone rumored the iPhone 5S will start in March leading to a launch date sometime in June or July. It looks like the next iPhone will be very similar to the one we already have, and while the iPhone 5 was a large step up from the 4S I personally don’t think Apple has two years time before competition is far superior. As always more solid information will come out as the speculated release date nears.
Similar to the iPad mini, we expect a concentrated low-cost iPhone rather than a “cheap” one. Likely specs: polycarbonite case with 4″ non-Retina display and no LTE. We believe a new low-cost iPhone would increase Apple’s share, decrease [gross margins], but have little impact on [earnings per share].
