It seems like we have been waiting forever for the iOS 6 jailbreak to come out, and it has been about six months since the initial beta release. However, the top minds in the community are working on it, and each day brings us one stage closer to a fully working release.
We have today some exciting news for those of you that have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new jailbreak, which comes in the form of a tweet from famed jailbreaker pod2g.
. @planetbeing oh yeah! 2 new vulnerabilities in a day, chance was with us. But we still miss that initial code execution for a public jb :/
Pod2g has teamed up with planetbeing, another well known member of the jailbreaking community. Given that a single jailbreak can take dozens of vulnerabilities to become fully working, this news does not necessarily mean that any release should be expected imminently. However, good progress is being made, and now that some of the best in the community are working on it in tandem, we could be seeing more exciting news soon.
As always, make sure you check back frequently for more news regarding the iOS 6 untethered jailbreak, as we will release an update as soon as it comes out. Especially for those of you with an iPhone 5, since this will be the first jailbreak to work on the new device.
