While today’s update enables TinyUmbrella to save SHSH files for all iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models, only those powered by an A4 processor or earlier can use said SHSH files to downgrade. However, even so, it’s a good precautionary measure to backup SHSH blobs on newer devices like the iPhone 5 and iPad 4, as they’ll likely be required to downgrade if asolution is made available in the future.
Additionally, if you’re jailbroken on iOS 6 using the Evasi0n Jailbreak utility, avoid iOS 6.1.3 when Apple releases the firmware to the public. Planetbeing discovered this past weekend that 6.1.3 patches one of the five key vulnerabilities exploited by Evasi0n to achieve an Untethered Jailbreak.Furthermore, it’s crucial to backup SHSH blobs while a firmware is still current because Apple closes the signing window with every new iOS release.
