Apple has just released iOS 6.1.3, which has been in beta versions for the past few weeks. Amongst smaller fixes, such as the lockscreen bug fix, it adds improvements to the Maps app in Japan, to bring the standard up to scratch. This update is available for all iOS devices that can run iOS 6, be it the iPhone 5, iPad Mini or iPod touch 5G.
Earlier this month, we reported that iOS 6.1.3 likely breaks the Evasi0n untethered jailbreak for iOS 6. Whilst this hasn’t been 100% confirmed, we expect nothing has changed from Planetbeing’s original prediction with the compatibility issues found with Evasi0n and iOS 6.1.3.
We will keep you up to date on the 6.1.3 jailbreak status, but for now, stay away. The update can be downloaded OTA, or from iTunes for your device (if you don’t care about a jailbreak!).
