T-Mobile Announces the iPhone 5 (Video)
March 26, 2013The last carrier to receive the iPhone is T-Mobile. That has now changed with their Uncarrier event which was debuted today. The Deutsch-Telekom company announce their brand new 4G LTE network, alongside with the iPhone 5 and HTC One. This was expected as their PR reps. leaked some of the info before the event, and we had been speculating this for years. Here comes the real kicker. The iPhone 5 will cost $99 up front for the device, and then an additional $20/month for 24 months, which is the normal duration of a cellular contract. In terms of a plan, theoretically speaking, say you want the Unlimited Everything plan which will run you $70/month. Multiply that, and add everything together, you get a total of $2,260. Pretty genius, huh?
By not putting everything upfront for the customer, they are making it seem that T-Mobile is now the best option with the low prices. What do you think about this? Will you switch to T-Mobile?
