Hide Safari’s Status Bar From View (No Jailbreak Needed)

JassimOctober 28, 2012

Earlier this week, we showed you a non-jailbroken method to hide stock iOS apps from view. Well, the same developer has just released a smilar method to remove Safari’s status bar on the mobile view. Very handy for getting a little bit of extra screen real estate – and you don’t even need to be jailbroken! Take a look at the video below which will show off how it works:

RAG3HACK is a really useful tool, and indicates that stock iOS isn’t actually as shut off as we frequently believe. You’ll need to navigate to this website, and simply press the big ‘Hide Status’ button. Once you do this safari should turn black, then come back with no status bar attached to the top; providing a bit more screen real estate for you to play around with.
As soon as you’re done, you can simply close safari out of the switcher and the status bar will be back nice and easy.
