New 6.1.2 Lock Screen Exploit Allows Users To View Locked Data On iPhone

New 6.1.2 Lock Screen Exploit Allows Users To View Locked Data On iPhone

JASSIM AHMED FEBRUARY 25, 2013 1

A few weeks ago we posted a tutorial that allowed users to bypass the passcode on the iPhone and access contacts, voicemails, images, mail, and sms data. Even before this large hole was fixed, a new one was found that allows users to access all the data they want on a locked iPhone.
The new bug that was found is very similar and allows users to put the iPhone in a state that will communicate freely with a computer. Currently the exploit works on all iPhone devices running 6.1.2 or lower. Hopefully, Apple will patch this new exploit  in addition to the original in their new beta of 6.1.3.
Feel free to watch the video below for a full tutorial.
