Atom tweak for iOS overhauls the standard lockscreen
A tweak from well-known developers Tyler Nettlton and Surenix has just hit the Cydia Store, called Atom. Atom provides a while new interface to the lockscreen, and gets rid of the conventional “slide to unlock” that has become so familiar.
Instead, Atom presents the user with a screen that is blank apart from a single button at the bottom of the screen. Pressing and holding on this button reveals seven different locations that you can drag and drop the button to. In the center of the screen lies the regular unlock, and behaves just like sliding the slider would without this tweak. Around the center, though, are six customizable positions that allow you to quickly open apps directly from the lockscreen.
Along with the utility of this tweak comes stunning visual presentation, with fluid animations and a polished UI. The tweak is available in the BigBoss repo for $1.99, and it is worth every penny. Additionally, you can follow the creators on Twitter!
