Data Shows iOS 7 Usage Ahead Of WWDC 2013
Before every iOS release many developers or website owners notice new statistics in their tracking software. The potential reasoning behind the devices running a newer non released version of iOS is that Apple’s employees are testing it out on their own or Apple’s devices. Most sites collect data on the device to be able to display the correct resolution and change various other aspects. In the past these changes have always occurred before a release, but there is always the chance that someone is faking it. Faking a user agent to look like it is running on a different firmware or device all together.
Today, popular mobile design company noticed a significant trend in the data received by its customers websites. They noticed high concentrations of users located in San Francisco and Cupertino near where Apple is located. Most were running on iPhones but at least 25% were being tested on the iPad or iPod Touch. If this data is legitimate, there is a good chance that iOS 7 is being tested as we speak and should be available for developers soon after WWDC
